To me that looks like a hull from a 22 and not a 24. The freeboards and bow are too low?
The sprayrails are too defined and the chine is an early rise chine, not similar to the 24 ft hulls.

Eitherway! A modern playmate could be done on that 24-shell that is for sale. I would not go that route though, the 24 weekender deck is quite rare so I would keep it as a DC but maybe add a t-top with canvas sides and a comfortable layout.
