Hi,
So I made the purchase of the Coronet 21 DC and earlier I wrote about the stiffness of turning in slow speeds. Now after few rides I noticed that when turning (approx 90 degrees or more) the boat starts to vibrate a bit, any good ideas where to start to check this? Doesn’t matter which side I turn, it does it bothways. We are taking the boat to maintenance tomorrow anyway (seems to have a problem to start when engine is warm) and we are going to check that vibration at the same time.
Background, the outdrive had took some water in oil this spring and it was dismantled and it required pinion change and additional things to fix. Of course this is the first suspect for the vibration, but who knows…

The natural site for this kind of vibration is gimbal bearing and/or worn shaft splines, unfortunately You will have to do this with the drive removed on land.
Good luck

Thanks Jan, I did some googling and I find the same + u-joints. We will go for a drive today and try to examine it more. Driving straight it feels right, turning wheel 90 degrees or more starts the shake. Shaking feels more on the side where you turn.
I must say it's fantastic boat otherwise, cuts waves really well.
