Just making a post to say hi and show the project boat I acquired 3 years ago. It’s a 21DC and needs a lot of work. Just pulled it from storage after acquiring a replacement engine and heckdrive (VP 5.7 GXi with Duoprop).

Summary of work to be done:

Interior en exterior paintwork, previous owner prepared outside pretty well, but did a single layer spray paint finish, a nightmare to be honest. But grain 320 takes me to the gelcoat straight away. Want to finish the whole boat with Ijssel DD coat.
But first engine needs to be taken out, stringer (OMC) out of transom. Fill the hole, lots of glassfiber work, make new cutout for VP transom and install engine.

Woodwork on cabin is still there, but again, needs a lot of work, the door is gone, so will have to make a new one. (Does someone have measurements or experience!?)
Will also need to redo the flooring, which I plan on making out of teak, support of the floor is still very good. Interior is not original, as they’ve constructed a sunbed engine compartment with a bench in front, and two Mercruiser seats. I’ll post more photo’s as I make progress.

The engine currently installed, it used to run on LPG. Found tanks and a evaporator, it also had closed cooling installed. (very nice looking copper heath exchanger).

The stern with OMC stringer still installed.

Cleaning all the stuff out the boat prior to removing the engine and doing a thorough clean before starting sanding operations.
